Rare Book Collection - Kenison Library: Home

Describes the Rare Book Collection held in the Kenison Library.

Welcome to the Kenison Library's Rare Book Collection Library Guide!

The Rare Book Collection is housed in a tall ironwood cabinet, designed for just such a purpose, on the north wall of the library. The volumes inside include the personal collection of William Brewster, son of our founder John Brewster, and many older library books that have over time been deemed too fragile and/or possibly precious to continue in circulation. Some books were donated by former faculty members. In addition, there is a collection of ephemera that includes guidebooks, pamphlets and maps, concerning local Wolfeboro and New Hampshire history.
